Biometric Data Policy

How we handle biometric data used to confirm members are real people.

Last updated: June 16, 2026

This Biometric Data Policy explains how Date The Real Me, operated by DRM Global Inc, collects and handles biometric data. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What we collect

As part of verifying that a member is a real person, we may collect biometric data — such as a facial scan derived from a photo or selfie you provide. We collect this data only with your explicit consent, which you give when you choose to verify.

Why we collect it

We use biometric data for the limited purpose of confirming that you are a real, live person and that you are the person in your profile photos. This helps keep the community authentic.

What we do not do

We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your biometric data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Retention and deletion

We retain biometric data only as long as needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law, after which it is deleted or de-identified. When you delete your account, associated biometric data is deleted or de-identified, except where retention is required for legal or compliance reasons.

Consent and withdrawal

Verification is optional and based on your consent. You can decline, and you can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

Security

We use reasonable measures designed to protect biometric data consistent with our overall security practices.
